Over the last few years I have been very fortunate. I have had the opportunity to work with various sales teams in a number of industries, either in a corporate setting or as I’ve been doing lately, consulting.
I have found that typically the owner of the business or manager are extremely talented, otherwise they would never be in the position they are in. Often, however, they need help in developing programs that will work for the whole team. Or to gain consistency.

- I research your competitors thoroughly, from a customer perspective.
- I comp shop your competitors and make sure your prices are competitive.
- I can usually find out how their sales are for the year as well
- I act as a customer to your sales people (to give me a bench mark and see where they are).
- I try to find new angles.
- I gather the sales people together and we develop a performance guide, by involving them I typically see almost 100% buy-in.
- I find out what training, resources, etc. they feel they need.
- I sit them down individually and privately and ask them about their supervisors.
- I can also, if your budget allows, set up 360 reviews for anyone and everyone on your staff. Everyone can have access and a confidential login.
- I can administer the WBI (Work Behavior Inventory) assessment.
- There are several other tools we can use to see where your team is.
